Citrus Skin
Year 1911, a stuntman named Bobby Leach put himself in a special metal drum and jumped from Niagara Falls down the water. He got small scars but went out of the drum alive to tell this story. With a lot of preparations, he made this extraordinary thing successful.
Long years ago, while he was walking in New Zealand, he stepped on a “citrus skin”, slipped and fell down which caused to break his leg. He was brought in the hospital due to complications and so, he died.
“Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.”
-I Corinthians 10:12
“Ang nag-aakalang siya’y nakatayo ay mag-ingat na baka siya’y mabuwal.”
No matter how strong you hold on, still, there will come a time that you’ll fall. No matter how prepared you are and already gained strength to face tears and scars, still, you’ll pop off. Because no matter how loud you’ve shouted that you’ve lived through those horrors, if you did it for your own glory, then you’ll be DEAD!
That stuntman passed away just because of a “citrus skin”. No one expected it, even himself. But God allowed it to tell you something and be reminded of these three:
1. Take HEED
- A state of being “aware”.
2. Take HIM
- Read your Bible and pray.
3. Take NOTE
- Listen to your authorities.
We’re in a world that “tomorrow” is a surprise. You can’t date your own death, even one’s exact birth. But one thing is for sure that everything happens for a purpose.
Satan keeps on dropping citrus skin on your way. As you step, take heed, take Him, and take note. For you’ll never know where he placed one. He’s a wild old fox playing tricks on you. Mind those little acts that can be turned into sin. They may seem too small, insignificant, but wait until you’re gone. So please, magnify your eyes for a citrus skin.
